3 Life on the Bench by Shepard House

Sitting and thinking of life away from the hustle and bustle going on. Just wondering what stories the flowers and the trees would tell over the years.

I'm tucked away not too far from everything going on but at the same time, not too close. The children are playing in the wobbly bridge play area, some just running around, others playing football. The sounds are comforting, every now and then I hear a car go by. I hear the odd bits of people talking, some complaining of life on the estate and wishing they could live somewhere else, anywhere but here. Others are glad to be near family.

At night it is so peaceful apart from the foxes screaming and calling one another and making sure they don’t go far from home whilst searching for food before it gets too late. At night you can still hear people playing music, babies crying while parents argue about who will get up to attend to the child.

The stars shine brightly against the black blanket sky. Looking up it is so peaceful. I wish life could be like this all the time. As the sun comes up I can hear the birds singing their morning song. I spot a robin in the tree.

Then life starts all over again.
